The Everafter (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

The Everafter by Amy Huntley was a very interesting book. throughout the story it gave you a little bit of her life through tiny objects she had lost in the past. This was her only way of reliving the memories she once had. The only way to remember she had a life at one point. In the story she finds Things like a broken bracelet that lead her to reminisce the mother she left behind, the friend, the boyfriend, and the sister she had. All of these little memories make up life in a whole and the story portrays that well. How objects can bring you back to a forgotten time. Beautiful. This book made me feel such strong emotions; aching sadness, terror, and love. The character was so relatable and different at the same time. Just like the character, I craved seeing her life in these bits in pieces, solving this big mystery that was her life and just life itself. Everything she felt, I felt. I cried many times in this book; for how her life ended, and just because she lost it. I just love the character and I was so terribly sad for her. The ending was bitter-sweet because I mean, she's dead so duh its not gonna be happily ever after, but its not a terrible ending like allegiant or anything. Overall, this novel has everything u love in a book, its light and adorable but deep and intense as well. ITS JUST SO PERFECT! after I read this I spent the next few days just thinking about it. This is one of those 10 star books out of 5 stars!
