He smiled. Stopping in the doorway, he leaned against the wall and crossed his arms over his chest. A few minutes ago she was naked in his arms, her face contorted with pleasure—pleasure only he could give her—and she’d looked breathtaking. And now she was wearing a short, silk robe, standing in their kitchen cooking for him and she looked absolutely stunning. Every time he thought of her, thought of how much he loved her, how his life would end if she weren’t a part of it, it clutched at his heart. Pushing off the door jamb, he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her stomach. “I love you, Trinity,” he whispered. Somehow, those words didn’t come close to expressing how he really felt. No words ever could. She turned in his arms and put her arms around his neck. “I love you, too.” Then she pulled away and frowned. “You’re dressed.” “Yes.” “Why? You said last night that you’d spend today with me.”
