I'd actually put this at 3 1/2 stars (if only Goodreads would let me!!) which is actually a shame because massive sections of the story were probably a 5 star read for me (which is fairly uncommon!!)What I LovedThe characters. The hero and the heroine were great! They were sweet, they clicked and I enjoyed the banter between then. I read a couple of reviews that cited cheesy dialogue, but that was the point, they knew it was cheesy so it was sweet. The general plot was great with a very suspenseful story that kept me guessing. The foundation. For me that's the spelling, the grammar and the punctuation. When these work they're invisible, but when they don't they can completely derail a story for me. Quinn had them spot on.What I didn't likeTelling not showing. It's a pet peeve of mine, and here it happened several times. The story would be flying along and then all of a sudden it would be SCENE CHANGE oh btw this happened and now everything is different...! It left me feeling like I was playing catch up and that's just annoying. The plot. I know I said I loved the general plot, but that's just it. The basic one was great (conflict with heroine's ex) however then we had all of the others (conflict with the heroine's parents, then their maschinations which I'm still not sure whether they came to light, the conflict at the hero's workplace, the conflict at the gym, the murder plot....) any one of these could have been used as a great companion to the stalker ex and I'd have loved it, but all of them together we're just too much and left me feeling confusedAs I said there was an awful lot to love about this story and I will definitely be on the look out for the companion novel, I just hope that next time there can be a little more restraint with the ideas so that I can really appreciate her truly excellent storytelling!!! Stars: 4.5Overall: This story was amazing in so many ways, but i felt it was lacking in a real timeline. The way that Dani & Van meet was interesting and kind of sweet, but how quick they became a couple really bothered me because it didn't feel believable at times. One second Van is breaking her ex Brian's hand and than the next second they are hooking up and pretty much moving in together. I really liked the plot that Brian hatched because the author had a way of making it so you had no idea what was going to happen next and I found myself going "OMG" ,so many times. The ending i had a love/hate relationship with it because one second they are having a good time and than there is a knock at the door and a long lost person shows up, but we didn't really get to see what happened afterwards. So i'm hoping the author will work on another story for our couple or maybe make a book for Cole and put Dani and Van in it. Also i was left with questions about what happened with Dani's parents and if they ever figured things out, but like i said before, hopefully there will be another book in the works. Characters: Dani & Van Page Turner: Oh yes!Series Cont: I wish!Recommend: YES!!
What do You think about The Fighter's Block (2000)?
I wished there was a series with the characters. As always a well written book.

This was a good book although I felt that the whole relationship was rushed.
