The Final Arrangement Cozy Flower Shop Mystery (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
I enjoyed reading this book, but it definitely reminded me of one of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books. The main character, Quincy McKay, actually reminded me of Stephanie Plum, except that Quincy is a florist and Stephanie is a bounty hunter. They both even have boyfriends who are police officers, and families who have their own issues and religious beliefs. The book was definitely a quick read, and I would recommend it, especially to those who enjoy mysteries with a touch of humor in them. The typical "cosy mystery"; a florist, who knows nothing about crime detection, is suspected if murdering a fellow florist with whom she had a contentious relationship. Of.course the requisite sexy, "can I trust him or not" man is involved. It is a week-written story for what it is-pure escapism. I will say that the murderer was a little bit of a surprise without multiple red herrings being utilized. There was one strange thing and I'm not sure if it was intentional or some type of weird typographical error. The name of the victim in the story is Derrick. Several times in the book, instead of the word engaged or engagement, the word is enDerricked or enDerrickment. It made no sense to me, so I had to conclude it was a typographical error, but a very strange one.All in all, a delightful book and I hope Ms Adams has another one in the works.

Cute story. Once KC arrived it was like a PG version of Stephanie Plum.
