The Fine Art Of Pretending (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
I really really wish I could finish this book. But I can't make myself do it.I think the writing's nice but I'm having so much trouble not rolling my eyes at the story development...I really really do want to like it....but I just don't think it's too special.Usually if I have a crush on a character, that makes even the worst book bearable, but I couldn't really find anyone appealing in this one...I'm being too harsh...I've read worse books than this before (and to be honest, yeah, I never finished...) but I had higher expectations for this one Okay before I start my review I just want to say a woman should not be defined by what she wears and she should never think that this is appropriate. Going from being a commitment (girlfriend material) to becoming a slut (basically) is not something a girl should aim for. I struggled through the middle of the book because of this and found degrading for a woman to think in that way. Even though I did feel this way I did enjoy the story and found that I connected with the characters. I loved that it was written in the view of 2 separate people, if it was only narrated by Aly I would of given up on it quite quickly. Brandon gave it a different perspective and I really loved that. The other characters were also really likeable apart from Lauren (obviously). I found it an easy read, with the 2 perspectives definitely keeping me interested
What do You think about The Fine Art Of Pretending (2014)?
It was okay but a little too predictable. I wouldn't highly recommend it.
