“Was that supposed to tickle, Prince Aleth? If not, you’re losing your touch.” Prince Aleth’s eyes grew large and he stared at his hand. He wrenched it from Ryllan’s grasp and pushed it against Ryllan’s forehead once more, the light growing brighter the second time. Ryllan fought the prince to the ground, waiting to feel something come over him. He waited for the feeling of nothingness to invade his mind, to feel himself wiped clear. Part of him almost longed for the bliss of ignorance, to not remember all the pain in his life. But that pain had made him into the male he was. He’d not want to lose the very essence of who he was. But nothing happened. There seemed nothing amiss, and his mind worked clearly. As clearly as a male could think with a sexy, squirming prince under him. Had the prince failed in his attempt, or had he changed his mind and not followed through in his attempt? Ryllan was fairly positive it was the former, as the prince had ample opportunity and seemed shocked it wasn’t working.
