This was a very good short story. I got it free on my Kindle, which makes it even better. However, if I had read that it was about a child that goes missing, I might not have read it. But everything works out in the end. It's a tearjerker. One quote that stood out to me was "I didn't know then that every happy milestone in my life would carry with it a shadowy lining of loss. But she knew." In all of my happy moments I remember my grandmother. Just today I was thinking how much she would have loved to see Dax baptized. She also writes about planting dreams in her children's hearts and souls. I believe not only should we plant those dreams, but help cultivate them as well. It's not enough to plant a seed, we have to help it grow. I'll read more from this author. It was a cute story about being a stay at home mom after getting pregnant in high school and how her mother wanted more for her and her youngest son didn't come home from school and they thought he was kidnapped and he arrived home and told them that a woman named Alice helped him home and he gave his mom her fingerprint on a heart that she made for her mother as a child and she knows it was her deceased mom who helped him home.
Sweet story of a young housewife who comes to understand what's really important about her life.

It was fine, though I probably could have found something better to do with my 30 minutes.
