I saw a lot of comparison to Grisham on reviews of this book and I have to disagree. This is a court room thriller but this guy has his own writing style quite unlike Grisham. And being a big fan of Grisham I have to say this may not be similar but would make a great contender for all books in this category. With a young attorney working for Legal Aid in the Bronx as the main character the author sets out for quite a thrill ride with an interesting twisted ending. So for fans of the genre I would say this is a must read and definitely an author to watch for future novels. The story was great. A young legal aid lawyer defends a young man accused of molesting three young boys, and also another young man accused of raping several women in a highly publicized case. He gives each client the best possible effort, but is also determined to figure out if they are innocent or guilty. And one case - or is it both? - may have connections to a deep, dark secret in his family's past, something no one will talk about. I enjoyed the idea behind the story. The book itself, however, was a bit slow at times. It wasn't that it was lacking in action, exactly, but more like...the action wasn't exciting enough. Things were dragged out, when they didn't really need to be. I also felt the ending was a little too...simple. It seemed too easy to resolve and wrap things up. Part of it felt like a cop out, as well.**There were some spelling errors, a few grammar and/or punctuation errors that I noticed, but not too many. It's not a bad book, but it could be improved and be even better. SPOILER: **He's fighting with Guevara, and blacks out, coming to to find Rocco and Sallie cleaning up, apparently having killed Guevara for him. It felt like a real letdown for me, instead of putting him in some real danger and having him fight his way out of it.

Free on Kindle. Better than I expected! I found it on par with Grisham.
