The Heiress Of Winterwood (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
This was such a sweet, cute, and refreshing read! I loved being able to see both Amelia and Graham's personal struggles, journey, and their choices. It was nice seeing both perspectives. The romance was so, so very cute! There were a few shocking things that happened throughout the novel, especially near the end, though the overall plot was a bit predictable for me. :) I loved how their faith was included. It really made the story beautiful. I really want to know more though! I want to know what happened to Amelia's uncle and aunt, and Helena. I want to know how Amelia and Graham are doing! I'm definitely going to have to look into the other books in this series! 5 stars all the way! Great, great read. I liked The Heiress of Winterwood a lot. I gobbled it up in 2 courses. I enjoyed the story and the writing, but cannot rate this one 4 stars because it left me wanting both a little more and a little less...more developed characters (whom I could have easily adored if given just a little more), more connection or dialogue between the main characters, and less in regards to the repeat on the conflicts. It teetered right on the edge of skipping paragraphs quite a few times, and then once I was suddenly so surprised I found myself chuckling aloud. It started really, really strong. At the end of chapter 1 I was sure it was going to be great, but it lagged in the middle. Overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend, but won't feel compelled to reread or purchase. Sarah Ladd, if you are reading this, I am very impressed with your debut. Keep it up and I am sure to become a fan.

Really good, clean, Christian romance! Reminds me of Downton Abbey. Really enjoyed it.
