Another murder mystery solved, but not by me :) I wondered but wrongfully gave up on who I thought it was in the beginning. You do get a little help with who the murderer is because it's never the characters that appear in all the books, it's always one of the new characters. Kind of like so of the TV series we watch, the murderer is always the guest star if they aren't the victim. But, it did keep me interested and again I look forward to reading 'The Anubis Slayings.' The next book in the series. The book isn't as descriptive-heavy like the first so my mind didn't wander is much. But it was still like the author was trying to see how many more words he could squeeze in the book to make it longer.
