The Hospital: The First Mountain Man Story (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
More zombie fare here. A short story that gives one pause to consider - do the dead sleep? Augustus (think Mad Max gone to fat), intent on pilfering supplies from an abandoned hospital, is delighted to find a sizeable stash of toilet paper. Just like gold these days, yes, it is. His joy is short-lived when he runs into Nurse Alice, who has stayed behind to take care of the little ones. Crazy Nurse Alice makes Nurse Ratched seem positively angelic. And she has a nursery full of hungry mouths to feed. I really enjoyed this short horror story filled with Zombies, tension and gore, it's just a shame that it was so short as I wanted to keep reading. I haven't read any other part of the series so I can't compare it to the rest of the author's work but if it's of a similar standard to this book then I am very much interested in reading the rest of them. I liked this because it was different...Zombie Babies! I don't think I have read any other book containing Zombie babies. A little gross in places but I honestly don't mind that, I have pretty sick tastes in what I read. Overall, I really enjoyed this.
