Finished this yesterday.....apparently this is an offshoot of another series, The Ladybug Farm, which I haven't read. This was cute though -two partners attempt to open up a B&B, but fear stands in their way. Enter a few "angels" (some apparently real, some not) to remove the fear and start the ball rolling; throw in some lost souls, who end up at the Hummingbird House towards the end, and you have a really nice, if no somewhat predictable story. Not sure if this will start a new series, but I would read it, if it was. A spinoff of Ball's "Ladybug Farm" series...almost all the "old" characters and introducing some new characters...halfway through the book, it's kind of forced, and not so interesting...there are a couple new characters that are just dumped into the book with their own stories and midway through, it's hard to fathom how those characters even will fit into the story eventually...or even if they will. If this is going to be a new series, it will need to get a lot better for me to consider reading any future books.OK...so all the "stories" were tied up at the end...way too pat. And quite unbelievable.
What do You think about The Hummingbird House (2013)?
Just like the others, I loved it. Hope there are more coming.
