This was more like one long blog post (and there were a ridiculous amount of plugs for his blog) with a few good nuggets of wisdom thrown in. I appreciated the distinction between good information and junk information and his points about over-consuming information and the need to be a local consumer. You could probably get all of this information on his blog. My big takeaway was consume less, produce more. The book started out well with a good premise, but I found the 'solutions' not that helpful. Each person's 'information diet' is different and what works well for one person won't work for another. The best advice is similar to Pollan's food prescription: "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants." as "'Seek. Not too much. Mostly facts.' Eat low on the sort of 'information food chain,' and stick close to sources."
Mostly-shallow snooze that would have made a great long article.
