I loved reading about Thalia, Joss, and Kael. It was not only a good "love triangle", but the story of the Septori and the deviousness they had was unique and interesting. I loved reading about Thalia's journey to figure out who she is, grow as a person, and deal with her past tortures while also trying to figure out who did it to her and why. I enjoyed this story so much, I immediately started reading the second one. Can't wait to see what happens to all of them next. Decent story, terrible writing. Tons of plot holes, and her main character seems to be a lot like her main character in Unenchanted. Lots of anger and pouting, no desire to ask questions and figure out what is going on. Honestly, if someone tried to kill you, would you go ahead and let them be your body guard?? Absolutely not! So many frustrating things like that in this book. It's a good idea, but not well executed.
What do You think about The Iron Butterfly (2012)?
I'm looking forward to reading another novel by this author.

Definitely needed editing. Good story nonetheless.
