The Jaxon Effect (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

The Jaxon Effect was amazing. I loved every minute of it and found it very hard to finish that last chapter because I did not want it to end. I am so looking forward to her next book and to see how the story unfolds with the characters. I personally think that this is the type of book that could definitely be made into a movie at some point. Jaxon is very sexy and although he seems to have that tough side to him he is very gentle. And Kate is so fragile but yet so strong at the same time. I would like to thank KC for sharing this book with me and I am so eager to get the next one. So keep writing girl and make sure you send me a copy of the next Jaxon Effect! First, I would like to thank the author for sending me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. That being said, I loved it! It only hints at being "Fifty Shades of Grey", but was much better written and not so over the top. There is an actual story to this book with the sex being secondary and pretty tame. The threat to Kate's life and her relationship with Jaxon keeps the reader interested to the very end.Dr. Kate Sims is portrayed as strong and intelligent most of the time. Jaxon has commitment issues but unlike Fifty Shades Christian, he is very likeable. The author even does a great job introducing supporting characters, who keep you interested enough to want to read about their future stories. Hopefully there will be books about Kelsey or Jade. Some of the jealousy or miscommunication was a little too much at times, but that is just my personal quirk. It was not enough to take any thing away from the book. For those readers that care, there was also some punctuation and spelling errors, but in my opinion it was very minor.I cannot wait for Ms. Michaels to finish writing Book Two: The Jaxon Effect - Complications and Compromises.
