The Jungle. Clive Cussler With Jack Du Brul (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
Several of the older gentlemen patrons at the library that I used to work at recommended Clive Cussler. It has been on my list to read a book by Clive Cussler for quite a while. I found the storyline to be a male fantasy of technology, rescueing damsels in distress, and para-military adventure. The storyline was inplausible and the ending to be strikingly abrupt. I would recommend this to readers who like the pace fast like a James Bond or Bourne Identity movie. *********SPOILERS IN THE REVIEW**********The books begin with an amazing story of Chinese possessing a weapon, which when used with sunlight and large crystals creates a concentrated beam of light, much like modern day laser. However, the story, instead of being an adventure to find the crystals, turns into a war between Americans and Al Qaeda-type muslim organization. The story feels like the one out of Hollywood where the world is in crisis and the US army saves it from destruction.

Der Epilog hat mich ein wenig aus dem Konzept gebracht.
