The Killing Edge (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

Chloe Marin was a teenager when her life changed forever. While at a party at a friend's house in Miami, killers came in to the house and massacred all her friends in their sleep with the exception of three~Victoria, Jared, and Brad. The four who survived are the only ones who had a chance to catch these men. Because of Chloe's keen ability to hold information she obtains, she was able to sketch a picture of one of the men. The men who were supposedly responsible for the "Teenage Massacre" were found dead in the Everglades; an apparent murder-suicide. From the night of the killings, the four friend became inseparable. Ten years later, when a girl named Colleen vanishes basically in to thin air at a modeling shoot on an island in the Key Largos, Luke Cane is called in to investigate. Luke doesn't want anyone to know why he is at the mansion where the model's live, so he is introduced as an upcoming designer. Chloe is there also undercover as a model, but is a psychologist trying to figure out what happened to the missing Colleen as well. From the start Luke and Chloe have an instant dislike for one another. When they find out they are after the same thing, they realize that it is better to work together than to fight with each other. This story will take you to a church that could be a cult held responsible for the murders that happened ten years ago to cops who could be corrupt. When the pair finally realizes who is responsible, more innocent people will die and it may be too late to save Chloe and her friends from the night of the massacre. I recommend it! Nice enough read, definitely kept me readingA few remarks:- excellent suspense, but in my opinion it made the romance take a bit of a back seat- to me, the paranormal in this book didn't really work. It felt more as a plot solution, aiding in helping to uncover the killer's identity, rather than an actual integral part of the plot. However, overall a satisfying read, with a surprising conclusion.

What do You think about The Killing Edge (2010)?

The only character missing from this story is scooby do. This is a boring poorly written book.
