The story The Lost Summer, written by Kathryn Williams is about the protagonist Helena, and her journey through summer camp. It was her first year of meeting the age requirement to be a camp councelor, but unfortunetly her best friend, Katie Bell, was too young. Even though both girls are quite dissapointed, they know that South Point camp will bring great memories this summer. Throughout each exciting chapter of this book, you will be faced with friendship problems, relationships, surprising events, which will leave you eager every time you set it down. My favorite character in this story would be Helena. She played the main role as a protagonist, and was a very outgoing, and interesting person. She suffered through relationship, and friendship problems yet still made it through each day. I would recommend this story to teens because it tells a story that shows who you should stand by, in your earlier years of your life. I thought this was a really good book. It was pretty easy for me torelate to and I would definatly recommend this book to otherteenagers. Like I said it was easy for me to relate to, and it waseasy for me to compare the main character of this book to the maincharacter in the book Twilight. Hellena is kind of shy at first, butonce you get to know her she opens up to you. She also just likes tohave fun and enjoy her life. Hellena is also very simaliar to Bellafrom the book Twilight. Bella is also kind of shy when you first meether, bu then she will open up to you. Bella also likes to be happywith her life, and she worries about others more than she worriesabout herself. The way the main character acts, I think it makes thebook easier to relate to. Overall, I thought this was a very good book.

The first chapter was kind of weak, but after that it was so good.

CAMP. But seemingly too melodramatic for the actual plot.
