I really like forbidden love, particularly pupil/teacher romance so I was really looking forward to the drama, angst, forbidden storyline. Unfortunately there wasn't enough angst, drama etc for me!!Kevin - 2/10!! he was sooooooo lame!!!! Immature, I often wondered if he was the seventeen yr old. Nina - 8/10!!! she was great, the main reason I read through until the end. she is very mature, sings like an angel and pretty much self sufficient ( sister and dad not really around, no real parenting or family love). No one looks out for her it's a wonder she is so put together and sensible? Not a lot happens really, Kevin find out she is a pupil, still at high school, a little bit of angst, old boyfriend of Nina returns ( bit of jealousy), scuffle at prom ( so lame!!)Kevin resigns, apart for a yr ( Kevin's decision), book deal, music scholarship, a yr apart and bam, back together! That's it in a nutshell!! My first time reading ms. Roth's books. I have to admit at first I was a bit unsure of how I would fare with the book. Discovering certain things I was like oh no!! :( but then I kept reading. I am glad I didn't put it aside. The more I got into it the more anxious I was to know what would happen. I was on the edge not just because of Nina and Kevin relationship, but hers with James. I was left wanting a bit more on the ending but all in all a great read. I was on edge and kept bugging my sister. On Nina's birthday I was jumping with glee and texting my sis. So I definitely recommend the book. Loved it. Can wait to start her next book. :)
