The Marriage Diaries Volumes 1 To 4 (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
This box set was a quick and entertaining read. I was able to read volumes 1-4 in one afternoon. I enjoyed the fact that these stories were based around a loving, married couple who are in their upper 30's. Their sex life has gotten a little "vanilla" and routine, so Jillian decides to spice things up. Their two grown sons have moved out of the house, so she decides that it's the perfect time to start showing her ex-Navy Seal husband, Dean, that she's ready to take a walk on the wild side. Her attempts at seduction and experimentation work exceptionally well, and she unlocks a dominant, super alpha-male side of her husband that she has never seen in the bedroom...and she LOVES it!I appreciated the fact that, like I said above, this story was about a married couple that are a little older. I love reading about hot, kinky sex, but it seems it always centers around young 21-something kids who are either just having a fling or have been dating for all of two minutes. It's nice to read about characters that are a little more relatable to a lot of women in the world. Plus, I think this sends out a great message that kinky sex and experimentation doesn't have to be thrown out the window when you have kids, or when you get older. And carried out within the bounds of a loving, committed marriage, it can be a LOT of fun!I also enjoyed the fact that these stories weren't just pure porn. There was a story, there was character development, and it was all very well written. Overall, I truly enjoyed reading this, and I will pick up future volumes to see what else Dean and Jillian decide to try out! The Marriage Diaries is one of the BEST and Hottest books I have read this year. The Marriage Diaries is four stories that look at the relationship of Jillian and Dean Noble. A couple that has been married for almost 20 years. Jillian Noble is read to spice up her relationship with Dean. There sex life has been great but she wants more…a lot more. And she knows that Dean is able of giving it to her she just has to open him up to the idea. Each story of the Marriage Diaries shows Jillian and Dean exploring more and more of the kinkier side of life. Jillian is awesome, such a great character. I love that she went after what she wanted. She knew that Dean has been suppressing his darker side (kinky/dominant). She has always felt that there sex life could be so much more. So one day she surprises Dean at his office...and leaves a satisfied woman. Dean...I love Dean. As a former Navy Seal...he is hot, sexy and just plain yummy. He is also your typical alpha male. Dean is surprised when Jillian shows up at his office, he is even more surprised by her request. After their encounter at Dean's office how can he say no to what Jillian is offering...she has allowed him to explore things that he has never voiced allowed.Together Jillian and Dean explore the fantasies that have been simmering for years. Each story gets hotter and the sex gets kinkier. But what I really love about them is that their love and devotion to each other does not change. Jillian and Dean's relationship gets stronger.I can not wait for the next story of Jillian and Dean. I hope the next installment in the marriage diaries releases soon!
