Still hope Mark is able to rise to be the Dom we know and love....just able express and actually believe in LOVE. I will admit I was perturbed after the last installment that every character in the BDSM lifestyle is damaged and needs to be "saved". The ARE healthy sadists and masochists out there, not just the light players. Perhaps showing some of these players in the next installment might give a more balanced view. Anyhoo, this novella had amazing sexual tension and a phenomenal finish. Seeing Mark challenged was refreshing indeed. Having read If I Were You, I thought I would like the rest of the books in the series as well as the novellas. I realize that in reading Master Undone second I have read out order, but even so, I knew roughly what the expect. The problem is, there wasn't much to the story, even as a short story is is lacking. Briefly I thought there was real insight into Mark's character, why he is the way he is. I really enjoyed the fact that a woman could bring him comfort in such a difficult time, and that Chris has reached out to him. Before either of these two things could be developed, or even processed, the story was over, abruptly ended, not even a wind down or gear up for the next installment. I am sure that I will continue to read the remaining books and novellas, since I have already purchased them, but I was disappointed in this one.
What do You think about The Master Undone (2013)?
novella here...excellent continuation of this story. I am enjoying it.
