The Mother Load (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

This book had some interesting and funny elements but there were things about it that kept it from being a solid story. First, the book needs edited. There are facts that get twisted along the way & names that occasionally change. Also, the plot line was flat. I was taught to look for some sort and plot peak and/or conclusion and this story felt lacking in both. I enjoyed the characters and as I said there were interesting and very funny parts but as a cohesive, complete story this seemed lacking. It was an interesting book, but some things were just not quite right. Am I the only one who notice Dr. Harmon being called by another name in one chapter (Riley)? Or that her sister in law was pregnant with her 4th child, hoping for an "heir to the throne"'after 3 girls, then when she has the baby, it talks about the in-laws taking care of the three boys and how Pamela finally got her little girl? Then the book seems to end abruptly. The author knows how to tell a story and make the characters come alive. Edit the book a little and it's a 5 star read.
