Friedman încercă să găsească răspuns la întrebări îndrăznețe precum: care sunt motivele care vor sta la baza viitoarelor conflicte, care națiuni vor pierde puterea economică și care o vor câștiga, cum vor afecta viitoarele orientări tehnologice și culturale evoluția societății. Este o lectură captivantă care, deși încearcă să ajute cititorul să înțeleagă lumea așa cum este ea astăzi și modul cum s-a ajuns acolo, nu reușește decât să se plaseze pe raftul lucrărilor propagandistice pro-americane. i like the content even it is actually gather round USA. My English is not good enough to read from original language, so i read it in Turkish. ordinarily i cant easily understand the translation faults. But this time, really i did :) I have never read a book like this kind of worst transation ever. Some sentences contains repated words, and some of them cant understand because of defects, some of the words written wrong. I was sick and tired of try to understand. Turkish is difficult language that even automatic translator programs cant convert properly Eng. to Turkish or vice versa , but this book's translation is worst than that and of course also below expectations. It would be great if pegasus'(Turkey Publisher) editors read it before publish. And i hope, writers future books will not published by pegasus publisher in Turkey. İngilizcem orijinalini anlamaya yetecek kadar iyi olmasa da, bu zamana kadar bu denli kötü bir çeviriyle karşılaşmadım. Anlatım bozuklukları, cümlelerde aynı kelimelerin kullanımı, hatta cümlenin ne anlatmak istediğinin bile anlaşılmaması ve daha nicesi... bu yayınevinin diğer kitaplarında da benzer sıkıntılarla karşılaşmıştım ancak bu kadar yoğun ve insanı kitaptan soğutacak kadar berbat değildi. Eminim bana kızan çok olacaktır, fakat pegasus kitaplarının çoğu editor tarafından kontrol edilmiyor gibi bir görüş oluştu bende. Sözün özü; okumak isteyen İngilizcesinden okursa hiç değilse İngilizcesini geliştirir diye düşünüyorum. Kitabın içeriğine fazla sözüm yok. Genel olarak gelecek 10 yılın ABD merkezli yaklaşımı olarak nitelenebilir. Tüm dünyanın ABD ile ilişkileri esas alınarak yazılmış. Ama oldukça aydınlatıcı bilgiler ediniliyor.
