Very well done chick lit (or contemporary romance), with a realistic portrayal of a struggling single mother scraping along at the bottom. Then it becomes a road trip as a computer geek facing major problems of his own offers to help get the family to a math Olympiad in Scotland that will make it possible for the math genius daughter to attend a private school. I liked the portrayal of the money, responsibility, honesty and love issues (more than man/woman, but also parent/child) I just love this author and I think I'd read anything by her. This book is about a single mother and the struggles of every day life- trying to support her family, do the best for her kids and still maintain her sense of self. Her focus on character building and how it affects life is outstanding. Such a great book. Not going to spoil the ending. This book exemplifies that life is a journey, not a destination.
Enjoyable, but disappointing. I expected it to be as good as Me Before You but found it not to be

Really good. I didn't want it to end and I didn't want to leave the characters behind.
