The Personal MBA: Master The Art Of Business (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

Bqackground: I am an engineer with masters degree and a couple of years of exposure to business practices.I found this book very helpful and exciting especially on some topics related to human mind ,analyzing systems etc . On the other hand,it is a very long read and its possible that you will forget many ideas by the time you reach end of the book .I do not agree with the point mooted by the author, sounding more like this book replacing the mba degree .This book is much more useful if read as a reference on-need basis on topics of interest.I recommend this book to anyone interested in improving his/her business acumen in general. I've never had many business classes in college so this book helped me a lot in providing insight into ways to run a business. He goes over anything and everything a small-business owner would like to do and provides a great bibliography for further research at the end of the book. It's not a how-to book but rather informs the reader what running a business entails and it's up to the reader to determine how to use the information. The information can be dense, but it's broken up into easily read paragraphs and sections so you can read a small section and put the book down to mull over the ideas before tackling a new one. I also found it really helpful to someone who has no experience in talking about business since everything is well-explained.
