This is a clean, delightful historical romance! It was not totally predictable. There were a few twists the author incorporated. The family of malemain characters were very individual and alluring. The story was about two individuals from a strong family foundation, yet from very different circumstances. There was some slight humor and quite a bit of action. It never dragged on.There was, of course, good vs. evil; right vs. wrong...as in most good stories. The author briefly introduces the larger family but thenthey pop up unexpectedly sporadically throughput the book.I hope this is only one in the saga. I am definitely going to check this possibility out. The book was Ok. The writing was good but the story line was a bit off. To many names to keep track of. I had to keep going back and forth to see who we were listening to now and who was involved how. I guess it helped as far as trying to keep the bad guy less obvious than normal. My biggest complaint is that both of the books end so abruptly. I know she answers some questions in the next book but I feel there are too many loose ends in both books and brothers seem to show up out of the woodwork for no real reason as if they all live a 10 minute car ride away. 9 month pregnant girl traveling from Kansas to Denver in a stagecoach? NOT!
This book was BORING!! I had to put it down and move on.
