Fun and easy! I finished the entire book one afternoon on the beach. I don't know how it ended up on my Kindle because its Young Adult fiction...but I enjoyed it and moved on to the others in the series. Each book in the Treadwell Academy series centers around one teenage girl (around 14-16 years old) who attends the prestigious prep school Treadwell Academy. This story is about Taylor, the daughter of a famous rock star (I kept picturing someone like Jon Bon Jovi or Bruce Springsteen) but grew up with her mother and away at boarding school away from her father's famous life. The story follows Taylor through one summer after the unexpected death of her mother and her strife as she deals with the loss and tries to fit in with her father's life and family. Yes, the book can be a bit juvenile but the characters are well developed and the story is compelling but light and fun. These books are a perfect break from a hectic life. This book was such a cute summery read! It had a great plot and I enjoyed stepping into Taylor's shoes as she tries to find her place in life. Taylor was a great main character, she made her mistakes but she learned from them and moved on. Though she had a lot of problems with her dad and her new step-mother she tried her best. There was some romance with a twist at the end that I definitely didn't see coming. This book is great! If you're looking for a fun summer read you should pick this one up!
