3.7-4.2 Stars. This one is much like the first. Lots of chaos, fighting, and betrayal. She made her love choice in the last book but something important happens in this one to make the love triangle alive and well. Another reader said not much happens to progress the story/characters and they were right but I still liked it bc it showed the aftermath of ppl trying to pick up the pieces after losing loved ones and just trying to survive. Winning isn't always the end sometimes the aftermath is the hard part of war... In this story it's one thing after another. She's always running around. We need some down time to decide what's going on with the war and her love life not to mention her missing friend. I do like that we've learned more about her relationship with Paige. I kept forgetting that this book was not YA and was actually UF. The main character McKenzie reads sooooo young when she is actually 26! The ending. The ending. OMG the ending. My heart is broken for the characters and I wanted to slap the author. That is ll I can write as I read books 2 and 3 one right after the other so I'm just gonna do it all in one fell swoop on book 3. Reads these books! Plus it's only a trilogy so you won't get dragged on and on forever like other series force you to do.
Seriously? You can't end a book like that. I need to read the next one like now!
