I watched the biggest loser every season so when I saw he had a book a picked it up. It's a good way to get started on any weight loss or just keeping the weight off journey. The good things about these rules is that he doesn't give you a chance to get around them because as long as you follow them there is no way out. And some of these rules are so easy it will be a piece of cake to fit them into your every day life. Great book for anyone looking to improve their life this way. I am in the process of reading and comparing a handful of diet books on "getting skinny." (Training for a marathon this year). Most of the Skinny Rules are sound and effective. I would say "common sense" but then most Americans don't follow them. But some of them are arbitrary and some won't work for everyone. For instance, the calorie counts are divided by gender but height is not mentioned. Exercise isn't really in the book. The main reason I didn't rate it higher, though, is its total dependence on animal-based foods. Not everyone can eat dairy products or wants to eat meat at most meals.
A little bit too constricting with the rules and time limits for eating.
