This was a fun read. Treflee's reasons for wanting the divorce seemed weak to me and I wondered why neither of them considered counseling until almost the end of the book, but the story was good enough for me to overlook that. I was also surprised she knew what her husband really did for a living, rather than him having a mundane "cover" job. Other than those weaknesses, I enjoyed their give and take, their role reversals and of course the happy ending. This was surprisingly good for a romance/spy novel. I really enjoyed the writing and plot. That being said, I was not surprised by anything that happened. I thought that it would be MUCH worse. The characters were believable but I found it really annoying that the leading lady flattly refused to believe that they still loved each other and stubbornly stuck to the idea of getting a divorce. It was pretty stupid. Oh well! It all worked out in the end...predictably. The fact that we found out that Greg was estranged from his wife at the end was an interesting twist, however, and a great lead in to the next novel in the series.
What do You think about The Spy Who Left Me (2011)?
I thought it was pretty cute. A good airplane read:-)
