Chloe Saunders has a normal life for like the first fourteen years of her life. Just a bit of time after she turns fifteen, her normal life gets cut open as easy as scissors cutting through paper. She starts seeing ghosts and is thrown into a group home for crazy kids (how unfair is that?). She discovers she is a necromancer, a supernatural that can talk to the dead and even put souls of dead ones back into their decaying bodies. Weird. Her new friend, Rae (Rachelle) is half-demon who loves fire. A cute boy Simon is a sorcerer and he can do magic. And his foster brother is a werewolf with enlightened senses. Is it a coincidence that all four of them are supernaturals at the same group home? Another coincidence that the man who was the original owner of the house experimented on supernaturals? And are the other kids at the home supernaturals too? Tori (Victoria) is probably a witch and Liz (Elizabeth) could be a shaman or a telekinetic half-demon.The group home may not be everything it seems to be. The staff acts all sweet and cheery, but is it all one cruel lie? This is my favorite book of all time. I have no idea why, but I just love it so much. I recently checked it out and read it in a day. At first, I found it to be a little slow, but I read on. I'm so glad I did. The more I read, the better the book got. The main character is very likeable and I can relate to her. Except for the fact that she's rich and I have no money. Plus she doesn't know how to do her own laundry even though she's 15. No offense to anybody who doesn't know how to do laundry by this age.
What do You think about The Summoning (2008)?
I loved this book, from the start I could get enough. I would highly recommend reading this book
