Put another way, it was really only a drugstore as an afterthought. It was as if someone had noticed at the last moment - just before the grand opening, say - that one of the words in the sign was still 'Drug.' The LaVerdiere's Super Drug Store was really more of a jumped-up five-and-dime than anything else.
