Jeff Mack has given us a wonderful picture book to use in library story times, at home or in schools that encourages children to write books of their own. The little boy in this story introduces himself and proceeds to tell us all about his life in simple illustrations, collage with materials found around any home and words scribbled in black crayon. Children will enjoy pouring over the pictures to get ideas to illustrate their own books and laughs will abound. What a delight for parents, children, students and teachers! This was awesome! Author, Jeff Mack, takes the persona of his younger self and presents this book about all the things he can do. The illustrations are exactly like you would expect from a young boy complete with crayon drawings, odd scraps of paper here and there, glue, tape (both transparent and masking), stickers, etc. This would be a good book to share in a storytime or classroom setting and have kids make their own books.
