It tells about Tobias Eaton's life right before and after he chose Dauntless in the Choosing Ceremony. How he got 'Four' as his new nickname from his initiation instructor, Amar.It's about self-conflict and inner choice. In this novel, Tori wisely advise Four: “You're the one who has to live with your choice, everyone else will get over it, move on, no matter what you decide. But you never will.” I read Divergent, because there was a movie coming out by the same name. I loved the book, and then I discovered these other short stories that take place before Divergent. Reading this takes me back to when I read about Tris's transfer, and in seeing the movie for the first time. So far this series is very good, and I hope the rest of these stories are good as well. I already figured out who everyone is, and I remember some of them from watching the Divergent film many times.
