The Truths About Dating And Mating (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
all the fights seemed extremely childish and I found myself rolling my eyes way too often. I liked Ian and thought his jealousy and protectiveness was cute but felt the author didnt play off it enough. Ivy was ok, but I really couldnt stand her fighting style - just saying whatever just to hurt the person.SPOILER ALERT!!!!I also felt that a lot of their "problems" - ie., Ian being found in bed with Ivys nemesis who was half naked from the waist down, were poorly thought out and seemed like the easy solution for the authorbto go with. totally cliché and totally fake and unrealistic.overall the book had some potential but was poorly executed and this author definitely doesnt make it on my watch list... I will probably have to rate this three stars out of guilty pleasure, purely. I mean, I probably wouldn't have liked it as much, but I always think that the "best friend-turned couple" thing is a lot better than the insta-love, so I jumped right into it. I think that the author wrote the story really well, and although it would probably be a typical story - boy and girl notice feelings for each other, make it work, boy does something stupid, make up, the end - but some parts were pretty nice to read. And Ivy had this personality I appreciated, so that made the book better.

It was pretty funny and sweet. I enjoyed this book but I guess I was looking for a little bit more.
