I received this book as part of the Read it and Reap program.The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back is a thoroughly enjoyable read. I finished it in a day, I really loved how the story flowed! Mattie lives with her Dad and her stepsister, Ella. Mattie considers herself to be the Ugly Stepsister, Ella is perfect; a blonde cheerleader who everyone absolutely loves, including Mattie's crush Jake. The book begins with a list of Mattie's grievances against Ella, even though she can't bring herself to truly dislike her. Through a series of events, Mattie suddenly finds herself running for senior class president against Jake. This story is a sweet blend of both romance and humor, along with the typical teenage angst. The characters are relatable and engaging, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun read. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author! I received this book in exchange for a review.Mattie has a beautiful stepsister who is also very nice. Unfortunately, she's also dating the guy Mattie loves. Can she figure out a way to get Jake?This was a very cute romance story. The characters are seniors in high school. It was an enjoyable read. There are very few grammatical errors. I would love to read the sequel to this book.

Great story which is not the typical Cinderella story. But happy ending nonetheless.
