The Universe Doesn't Give A Flying Fuck About You (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

I see this work as a highly condensed form of Fight Club. - We are all going to die eventually.- Everything, everyone you love will die.- On a long enough timeline, the survival rate of everyone drops to zero. The overall message is that in your short lifetime, you can be whoever you want to be, and do whatever you want to do. Failure or success is immaterial. No one cares except you. At the end of time when the creator looks at the timeline of earth, he will have to zoom in 10^9 times to look at your particular life which is mostly spent on sleeping (30%) and watching tv (10% at least). Do you care enough to do what you want? Or would you rather just watch TV? *You can get this book, and the other books of the series for free on Amazon.** This is a short book, but it makes sure you get the point; The universe doesn't give a flying fuck about you. After reading this book my attitude had changed. All I could think (and you will probably too) was: "I need to get off my lazy ass and do something epic. Life is so goddamn short, it practically doesn't exist in the timespan of the universe. So if I die, nothing, absolutely nothing "bigger than me" (if you get what I mean) is going to care. So I might as well get the most I can possibly get out of life. I won't get a second chance." This is basically the point the author is making in this book, although he keeps repeating it again and again throughout the whole book, I like the point being made.
