This is a fairly short novella that does a good job introducing us to "The Wedding Season" series of books. Amber Davis is the wedding planner for Reese Michael's upcoming wedding to Dylan (The Unexpected Wedding Guest). Parker Robinson is the estranged half-brother of the bride. He doesn't want to be a part of a wedding when he doesn't feel a part of the family.Amber grew up with Reece and always had a bit of a crush on Parker. She also saw him on some of the lowest days of his life and understands exactly why he doesn't want to be a part of the wedding.This was really not a long enough story to deal with the wealth of emotion in the history but the author didn't go overboard with our expectations. I do hope we catch glimpses of Amber and Parker throughout the series to see how they are holding up. After my endless debate on the rating I said give it 2.5 stars because it wasn't that bad nor that good. A part of the plot was missing and I didn't see the connection between Parker and Amber plus the title doesn't much the story aside from the fact that Amber owns a bridal shop. I am happy that they found their HEA but the book should have been a full length novella. I am intrigued and I want to read the next books.
Good book. It was a prequel, so it was short. I would like to read more in this series.
