Having been written around 100 years ago, I found the style of writing a bit difficult to follow in some parts although the short stories were very cleverly plotted with vivid descriptive detail. A thinking person's book, which is a nice change to some of the more modern 'action-packed' novels, I would recommend it to anyone who prefers a book which makes them reflect on life's situations and human nature. Chesterton, G.K.The Penguin Complete Father BrownIn compilation only.1) The Absence of Mr. Glass2) The Paradise of Thieves3) The Duel of Dr. Hirsch4) The Man in the Passage5) The Mistake of the Machine6) The Head of Caesar7) The Purple Wig8) The Perishing of the Pendragons9) The God of the Gongs10) The Salad of Colonel Cray11) The Strange Crime of John Boulnois12) The Fairy Tale of Father Brown
I don't think G.K. Chesterton is my cup of tea. Well written but just doesn't really appeal.
