The Wrong Billionaire's Bed (Billionaire Boys Club, #3 (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
This book hooked me from the beginning and kept my interest until the very end. I loved the way both Reese and Audrey acted out of character around each other. The difference is mentioned in Audrey's case, but needs to be observed in Reese's. I also loved the jealousy aspect, especially concerning Reese's girlfriends. Audrey's misinterpretation of the dynamics between Cade, Daphne, and Audrey is just kind of ... sad. Pathetic, really.My biggest complaint about the book is the grammar. Jessica Clare uses "had ran" instead of "had run," and "pitch hitter" instead of "pinch hitter." FYI, the saying is "for Pete' sake," with a capital "P."Grammar aside, I enjoyed and recommend THE WRONG BILLIONAIRE'S BED. I love that Audrey is not your stick thin model type, but rather a thicker gal that wears her bun so tight and smooth she's bound to get a headache. Most men would not be attracted to Audrey's type; all straight laced & tightly wound, but Reese finds her intriguing. Reese can get under Audrey's skin and make her feisty side come out to play. These two start this game with no intentions of it being anything more that a game but somewhere along the way their hearts get involved. Just when Audrey is finally going to get her dream date with Kade she realizes that it's not Kade that she wants. Reese isn't going to sit back and watch his best friend live happily ever after with his Audrey so he bails. These two stubborn souls won't budge but when tragedy strikes, Reese needs to be there for Audrey. Can they sort out their feelings for each other or will they be too stubborn to let go? Lot's of hot, steamy, juicy sex. Fabulous ending.
