The Ylem (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

Ok lets start of by me explaining why I didn't want to read this book in the first place. I had a readers instinct that this book was gonna be freakishly amazing, AND IT REALLY REALLY WAS.I HATE reading a series where there is only one book and you cant get to book two for at least a year or so THE WAITING PISSES ME OFF AND PATIENCE IS NOT ONE OF MY VIRTUES!This book was awesome in all ways possible. I'm a big fan of any book with supernatural extremely hot guys with mystery. The cover itself lured me in from jump. The plot of the story is told from two different scenarios(which keep the story going). All the character just made everything come together. Best of all this is not some short story , it is very detailed and drama filled. For Nook books it was about 714 pages long and that is a huge plus. To me that is well worth all my pennies. I cant tell you how mad it makes a person when they send tons of money on a book only to get about 200 pages. If you want a great read then pick this one up ASAP. You will not be upset. As I stated before I HATE reading a book where you don't know when the next issues is gonna come out or you have to wait a year or two or three to get. If your that type of person then you might want to wait, cause book two is no where to be found. TRUST ME I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR EVER! good luck. Well, Kalista frustrated me to no ends. It's like I kept pointing out her mistakes without trying to. For example, it seems like she just has a pretty face and no personality whatsoever. She zones out a lot and I have no idea how she has friends. Next, she doesn't ask questions that we want answered like when Dean got mad at Tristan for no reason, she didn't ask, "Why are you mad at him?" And she kept blushing. And arghh!! I don't know why, I just don't like her. She seemed really boring and irrationally angry when she told Tristan not to lie to her ever? Honey, people have to lie sometimes, you can't expect him to promise you that he won't lie anymore. We are human beings that make mistakes. She's the reason I couldn't even finish the book. Every other character was fine but I couldn't stand to read it anymore.

What do You think about The Ylem (2011)?
