The Zen Of Social Media Marketing: An Easier Way To Build Credibility, Generate Buzz, And Increase Revenue (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

In “The Zen of Social Media Marketing”, author Shama Kabani does an excellent job showcasing her marketing skills. Much of the information is provided by or written by others, yet it is her name on the cover. While suggesting readers engage and connect, she shamelessly promotes herself and her company throughout the book. The book layout seems a bit amateurish and I found the insets distracting. “The Zen of Social Media Marketing” is easy to read and understand. It provides a good overview of blogging, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, social buying, and video, and I did pick up a few tips. The book is great for beginners. The books says that it is "the last social media guide you'll ever need - with continuous online updates." Recently the second edition of this book was published, I went to the website, plugged in the passcode, and all the updates are there. Great resource. Even for seasoned pros, it's a quick read. I picked up a few different approaches, and social media is all about testing to see which approach works best.
