Seriously, how freak a person could be if a he had actually run through years of high education, got his PhD, and written two best seller books? Read the whole book, but honestly speaking, I haven't found a single mind that is really freak. Anyway, what is freak? The book is more like teaching people to rethink a little on daily problems more logically and a little outside the box, and entertaining readers by some anecdotes. I think the authors gained their reputation more because of the well marketing idea of "freak", just like the first two books named as "freak" economics, but they have not done a very good job on writing books.SO I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO CHANGE THE BOOK'S NAME AS "SUPER SUPER FREAK EXONOMICS" It may sell even better. And I am not very used to the author use "we" every time to speak out their ideas in the book. Seriously, as two people, two independent "freak" minds, there should be a lot of dispute and much less consensus. It is kind of weird. Nevertheless, there are still some interesting short stories in this book. It is suggested that you read this book on bus or flight, in the park, or on vacation. It is also a good choice to have a relax when you have done some serious mind works. It's cool. Loved it. Of course, I loved the two previous books so I was expecting to love this one and wasn't disappointed. This book was a bit more about how to come up with some of the ideas, connections, and conclusions--kind of like a training manual to, well, do exactly what the title suggests: think like a freak. One of my favorite parts was the follow up to the previous book's section on why suicide bombers should buy life insurance. I won't give it away, but I'll just say that the strategy was indeed genius. Just wow!The chapter on getting to the root of the problem was also good. In particular it made me think about my own thoughts regarding abortion: if you want the number of abortions to decrease, don't make it more difficult to get an abortion. Think about it: why does someone most often get an abortion? The pregnancy is unwanted. So instead of stopping abortions, why not go to the root of the problem and stop unwanted pregnancies? In other words, provide birth control and education about how to use it. Seems that it would be a far better solution.I also really enjoyed the upside of quitting chapter as it was especially timely (I have been working on a complex knitting design that I realized long ago wasn't working but I just kept knitting on it anyway. I've realized that quitting--in this case, ripping it out and starting over--is a far better idea than to just keep working on it when I know I'm unhappy with it. And I was actually working on it while listening to this particular chapter, so definitely good timing).I think it's a good idea to have read the previous two books first because they do refer back to several references from those books. But I highly recommend these books.
What do You think about Think Like A Freak (2014)?
This is more of a summary. But not bad at all if you have not read earlier books. I liked it.

Not their best. Poorly argued and plying heavily off popularity of previous books

The ideas are mostly very intuitive and repetitive from past books...
