****I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Nerd Alert Book Love Blog****Avery Emili is a beautiful, strong, and capable college student. She's getting ready for summer break in between semesters. But she is in need of a job or a way to come up with two thousand dollars to fly to Jamaica for her sister's wedding and she only has a few weeks to do it. Atticus Grimes is a college professor, the youngest college professor at the University of Branton. Atticus is in desperate need of an assistant to help arrange and organize the mess that has become of his research and his life. With the push from Dane, Atticus' best friend, Atticus meets and hires Avery for the assistant job. They are instantly attracted to each other. They fight their attraction and keep a friendly working relationship together, until a research trip to New Orleans. That's when things start to change. Will they continue to fight the attraction and remain research partners or will they push for more? What will happen when secrets get revealed and people from the past interfer? This isn't your typical forbidden love story. It has a few extra twists and turns to keep you interested and wanting to know what will happen next. I really like all her characters. They are all strong - interesting people and you want to learn more about them and see where their stories will go. I give this book a Nerd Alert B+ or 4.5 stars.
