This book was very good. It had kind of creepiness to it that I love. This book is about the Salem Witch trials. Personally I love the topic, I think most people don’t. the main character is named Drucilla she may seem a little dumb to follow her “mother” (you have to read the book to get it) but she will be the hero in the end. Now I will tell to be warned of Hangings and creepy riddles. If you love history and weirdish books than this book is defiantly for you. So please read the book. I have to admit the first time i reviewed this book i didn't sound like me so here we go again...So there's this chick named Dru and she has this guy who she loves (first like a brother but slowly more then that). She has never had a mother and the only person that shes always had by her side is Gabe(the guy), but when they are truly separated she goes to live in the Putnam family. Mistress Putnam becomes quite attached to her, and Dru realizes she has had a sad past and with that and her yearning for a mother make her feel the need to protect her. She soon realizes there is something horribly wrong with that woman. When the crazy talk about witches comes to town Mistress Putnam's imagination lets her believe that they are the reason to her bad fortune, at first Dru says nothing for fear that the woman will stop seeing her as a daughter, but when Gabe gets accused of being involved with witchcraft Dru must decide to lose him forever or to stand up and say the truth even when it may be against Mistress Putnam.
Heart wrenching story telling of a very ugly stain in human history, the Salem witch trials.

I think it was a unique take on what it was like during the Salem witch hunt madness
