Thank God it was free!! The main characters in this book are unbelievable, annoying, and just plain sad to read about. I'm all for a book centering on greed but this one was really bad. I barely finished it and that's saying a lot. I ended up just being curious what happened to Jamie. When its finally reveled I was surprised in the worst way. Talk about not seeing that coming and wish it never did. The only reason I was able to finish this book is because you end up really liking Kat and Finn. Also, I wanted to see the main characters get their comeuppance because I really ended up not liking them! I was good to see Jamie get a small piece of backbone at the very end of the book though. I would only read the next one because it centers on Kat and Finn, the two most believable characters! It's no wonder greed is one of the seven deadly sins. Would you let money come between you and your loved ones? Are you willing TO KILL FOR it? Jamie McKay is the daughter of a wealthy, well-to-do family in a small town. Her seemingly perfect life comes to a halt with the death of her fiance, but the more Jamie learns, the more she realizes her life was anything but perfect. Carella is a fast-paced story that will definitely keep you turning the pages. The author leaves us at the end just where she wants us...wanting more!
