Text-SelfThis story reminds me of when I was younger and getting ready for high school especially before I could drive to school she was always bugging me about getting ready and would ask me every five minutes if I was ready yet. I can also relate to the mom in the book because now when I go out with friends somehow I am always ready to go before my friends and I just want to get going and I am always trying to rush them to hurry up. This story reminds me of when I get all ready for an event and then once I get to where I am gong I am usually to dressed up or underdressed also reminds me of when I try to get ready in the morning and sometimes it is a struggle just like the mouse was having putting his clothes on.Text-text.This story reminds me a little of the Lion and the Mouse and Stuart little because in both stories the mouse was so quick to do things. In the Lion and mouse the mouse was quick to help the Lion and in the Little Mouse Gets Ready the mouse was trying to quickly to get clothes on and once his mom told him he didn't need clothes he jetted out of them so quickly. It is different from different books i've read because I am not used to reading graphic novels this book was a lot shorter than other books i've read and had a lot more pictures so that you can interpret the story more if you couldn't quite understand all the words.Text-WorldThis story reminds me of all the mice in the world that are so little and they do like to pick up the little pieces leftover. Similar to events in the real world because when the mouse talked about eating the food that had dropped from the horses mouths it reminded me that the mice really do pick up all the little pieces people or animals have not eaten and this is how they survive. It is different from the real world because mice really aren't going to be able to get dressed and have little clothes like he did. I enjoyed reading this book. Very cute pictures, and a great book to teach kids how to put on clothes by themselves. I love how while he is putting on clothes he's talking about what he wants to do at the barn. The part at the end when is mama tells him that "mice don't wear clothes" was the cutest part, the pictures to follow explained it all! Overall this book is very cute and a great "how to" for young readers.
A sweet early reader - very simple language and a short and easy story.
