I thought this book had a lot of potential, but overall, I thought it was just okay. I felt a lot of this book was rushed. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Morgan should have dragged out the story. But I did feel a lot of it was just surface deep.Take Tanner. The summary and the beginning of the book lead us to believe that he's madly, deeply in love with May for a long time. Sure, there was a scene where everything blew up, but it was very short lived, and I felt he got over it really quickly. If I were ever in a situation like that, I could only hope that Tanner would react like he did and then get over it.But aside from that, I thought Sebastian would put up a harder fight. Yes, she did blackmail him, but I felt he gave in way too easily, and he wasn't as big of a jerk as I thought he would be. And I'm sorry, but May was persistent (which is not a bad thing) but to the border line of crazy, psycho stalker following him in the shower, finding out where his rooms and classes are.And I did have an idea that something was up from the beginning. It was almost too obvious. Although, I admit I had thought it was along the lines of Ellen/Ellie, which threw that theory out the door upon their unpleasant encounter. Then I thought it had something more to do with the abduction, but not that. In a way, I was waiting for more of these bad people (businessmen trying to extort money or what not) to prove this dangerous situation that Sebastian was trying to keep May way from. Also, I do not buy the deal with Renee. Sure, she may just want to get to know him better and want the best for him, but it just doesn't fit right. It would have been different if she had been a nanny that raised him or something (they never told us how long they've been married anyway), but he acted way too paranoid that she was around for that to be her whole story. And how could someone that kind of loving marry someone like his father? I kept waiting for there to be more about her. But no, it was almost like she was written in for convenience.Overall, it wasn't a bad read - more of one that was just okay. Like I said, I wasn't planning to analyze this apart because it wasn't meant to be a such a book. However, I was just left with so many things that didn't sit well with me. It was good in some ways as well bad in others.I loved Sebastian and I liked the herione too.My english is far from perfect but it was full of spelling and grammar errors. I make typos a lot, but im not an author... I dont have an editor.I liked the idea of the book, and Eva Morgan did a good job in storytelling. I agree with other reviewers, the ending was a littlebit hasty or out of the blue superfast. This book is a perfect for three stars, somewhere in the middle.
