I enjoyed this third book in the series, but not quite as much as the previous two. The MCs were great, and it was wonderful revisiting the MCs from books one and two. I liked the storyline and was not at all put off by the stronger BDSM content; so, I'm not quite sure why I prefer the first two. It could, in part, be as simple as having extremely high expectations based on the glowing reviews. In addition, I wasn't wild about the Gordie storyline, and the "extreme" BDSM scenes about which many reviewers cautioned, did not seem that extreme at all.That sounds like a lot of complaints, but all told, I like this book and love the series. Well, this was quite a different story than what I usually read! I read it as part of a book challenge, and I'm very glad I did. What a collection of characters! Chenco is a young gay man who has found his calling as a drag queen named Caramela. His mom has disowned him and his dad, who he had been estranged with for years until the dad got sick, used him and then gave away their home to the KKK when he died. Now, Chenco is trying to figure out what he's going to do. Steve Vance is a bad-ass biker Dom who meets Chenco when he's at his lowest, feels a connection, and wants to help. Chenco gets pulled into Steve's world and his "family" of eccentric characters, including his half-brother that he'd never met before (the MC of the first book in the series.) I loved these guys! Some of their sexual escapades were a bit extreme for me. But, the journey that Steve and Chenco go on to find themselves and their lives together was wonderful and touching.
What do You think about Tough Love (2014)?
While the book featured a few kinks that I personally don't enjoy, it was a fantastic read.
