In this fast paced book about opposites attracting, whirlwind romances, heartache, sex, drugs, personal healing, and rock & roll Sarah Biermann manages to write a book that is a definite page turner. I found myself reading into the wee hours of the morning, determined to find out what would happen next.Dylan has some serious emotional scars from her parents but especially her mother. I liked how independent and driven she was in the beginning yet she was also very shy and inexperienced at the same time. In the last half, she became a bit clingy and almost seemed to hide her head in the sand about things which was annoying and caused me to yell at my tablet a few times. Jeremy is a musical savant, hot, and a bit cocky at times. Yet he is actually harboring a lot of his own emotional demons and uses not so great ways to hide from it. There were times I swooned over him and other times I wanted to smack him around a bit. Overall they were well written and I could easily empathize with some of their emotions. The story is different (in a good way) from other rocker romance books and it keeps the reader on their toes. The book flowed smoothly from one scene to the next. Great story and I am glad Dylan and Jeremy’s story continues in the 2nd book. I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars. In all honesty I didn't like Dylan at all. Throughout the whole book I grew to dislike her even more. She would literally ignore BIG problems with her relationship with Jeremy just so he wouldn't leave her or break up with her. All the while saying she wasn't that dumb she's smart. I'm sorry but NO.As for Jeremy I liked him some but not a lot. He was borderline abusive towards Dylan. Which told me if she would of said or did the wrong thing he wouldn't think twice about raising his hand to her. He would basically blame her for the way he acted towards her and treated her. No, she didn't make him DO anything, HE made the decision to act that way.Now that I'm threw ranting about the characters. I actually enjoyed the storyline and secondary characters. The plot was good and believe able and the characters were very relatable. Its a somewhat slow combined fast paced story. It kept my interest and curious as to what would happen. I agree that they made the right decision in the end. Otherwise they would be in a unhealthy relationship.I do recommend just don't go into it looking to like the M.C.'s!Till next time - Sweets Books
